. they are testing to see if this might work. big news coming out of washington. president obama says there will be a deal to raise the debt limit by the 2nd of august deadline. but the president insists that deal has to include tax hikes for the richest of all rich americans. something republicans are still refusing to accept. the president and house speaker john boehner spelling out their demands at a news conference or series of news conferences today before the latest rounds of talks at the white house. the president saying he is bent over backwards to work with g.o.p. leaders on spending cuts and that he is willing to take significant heat from his own party. now, he says it's time for republicans to do the same. the president used himself as an example as really someone who can afford to give up a few tax dollars. >> i do not want and i will not accept a deal in which i am asked to do nothing in fact, i'm able to keep hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional income that i don't need. if you don't have revenues, it means you are putting more of a burden on the people who ca
